Beautiful words Jordi. Still so hard to believe it. He truly was a visionary in his own unique way. Owning your own business you realize you have to constantly evolve and innovate or get left behind. Sometimes we struggle to do that, but the payoff is worth it. My mom and dad send their hugs to all.
Deeply moved and inspired. I lost my Dad and it has been the toughest times of my life trying to comes to terms of a world without him, my rock, my guiding force. On the identity side and education: I do not let any one or anything limit my ability to be curious and learn. I can at 56 become anything I set my mind to without limitation. Others constantly try to put limits on us but the world we are entering enables us even more to be creative, adapt, change our identities, our skills and job titles. Thanks for this enlightening piece
Game theory can be the most fun and thought-provoking exercise to play out. My dad is very good at it as well. Sounds like you had a great life experience. 💯 Maybe this changes your plans for the Real Vision event coming up this month, but i was looking forward to meeting you there if your time allowed it.
Thanks Jeff. I appreciate the kind words. Learning game theory at a young age is great for all in my opinion so I am grateful. As I said in the writing, I don’t get trapped in grief by being grateful for the time I had and seeing the impact anyone has on my life. I will be at the Real Vision event and look forward to meeting.
I am a bit unorthodox like your father so my attraction to your way of thinking makes so much more sense now. My condolences and you were lucky to have had such a cool dad .. not that it didn’t come with challenges. All the best.
Being unorthodox means being unique and that also means not being “normal” and I don’t believe in normal for anyone trying to have an exciting life. Walter Isaacson has done books on Ben Franklin, Steve Jobs, Elon Musk and Albert Einstein because they were not normal and those books highlight how they were unique in many ways. All the best
Ahh Jordi, my friend, so very sorry for this great loss mate. Thank you so very much for your brilliant and thoughtful reflections of your Dad here…your guidance and instruction has become sacred to me…I often feel like you and I are still up on the GRHS soccer field and about to connect again from one of your infamous crunching tackling sweeps, followed by a long blasting pass up the field to me for an offensive conquering!! Big hugs my man!!
I have been reading your stuff and watching your pods too. I am so proud of you for writing this essay/post. I have learned a lot from you over the years, but never more than this moment. Wishing you peace, health, happiness and lots of learning (and a fair bit of success- however you define it) in 2025 and beyond. Thank you for this gem
I am sorry for your loss. The story of your father brought up memories of the core drillers I lived and worked with. Such open people with profound insights on life you would never hear anywhere else. Blessings.
Amazing tribute Jordi. What your dad shaped in you benefits us all... That's the greatest legacy a person can create. We can all be grateful for this
Thanks bud. Gratitude is the word of the week!
My condolences Jordi.
Thank you for sharing the honest writing and the video this week.
Thanks

Thanks Tom! Glad to know I help in some way with my writings and this one was a special one for me. Our fathers were both part of our soccer lives.
